PCC (Police Clearance Certificate)

Also called: Police Clearance Certificate, Indian PCC

A PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) is a certificate issued by the Indian authorities about a person's police record, which other countries and organisations ask for as part of their checks. From the UK, an Indian PCC is prepared online and submitted at a VFS appointment, where the government and VFS fees are paid. Cases involving Indian residence may require local police verification in India.

Who needs it

People in the UK who are asked for an Indian PCC by another country, an employer or an agency. It is often required for foreign visa applications, permanent residency, employment checks and adoption. Each application is per person, and a VFS appointment is required, so book early if the PCC is needed for a deadline. Our preparation of the documents usually takes 24 to 48 hours.
