Renewal versus reissue
Some cases that look like renewal are actually reissue, with different requirements:
- Damaged passport.
- Lost or stolen passport — a police report and additional declarations are required.
- Name or date-of-birth change.
- More than three years past expiry — additional documentation may apply.

Who can apply
Indian passport expiring or expired
Most renewals can be applied for up to one year before expiry. Expired passports are also accepted — we confirm whether additional declarations are needed.
Damaged passport
Damaged passports usually need reissue rather than renewal. We confirm the correct route on WhatsApp.
Change of name, address, or appearance
Reissue is required if your name has changed (e.g. marriage), or if your appearance differs significantly from the existing photo. Supporting documents will be needed.
Children under 18
