OCI Miscellaneous Services

OCI Miscellaneous Services is the official category for changes to an existing OCI record other than a simple, in-time passport link. It covers a name, nationality or date-of-birth change, a lost or damaged card where the OCI is not yet linked to your current passport, a major change in appearance, removing an ex-spouse's name, an address change and corrections to wrong details. It also covers any passport change made more than 90 days after the new passport was issued, when a £52.78 late-update penalty applies.
Who needs it
OCI holders whose details no longer match their current passport, or who missed the 90-day window. Within the window the update is online. Past it, the route depends on where the card was issued and what is changing: a London-issued card with only a passport or address change is handled with a file submission, and other cases need a visa centre appointment. If the card is lost or damaged but the OCI is already linked to your current passport, the £50 e-OCI replaces the card instead.
