Indian document photo sizes at a glance
Each Indian document uses its own photo size. The OCI photo is a 51 × 51 mm square; the Indian passport and PCC photo is 35 × 45 mm portrait (the same shape as a British passport photo); the PAN card uses a smaller 35 × 25 mm landscape photo; and the Indian e-Visa takes a digital photo with no printed size at all.

How the checker works
- Pick the document you are applying for — the specification for that service appears.
- Add a photo from your phone or computer. It is read in your browser only and is never uploaded to us.
- The tool compares your photo’s shape with the specification. If it is off, there is nothing to redo — send it over and our team will format and check it for you.
No photo to hand? A high-street photo shop or the Post Office can take a passport-style photo (for example the Post Office, Snappy Snap or a local photo studio). Send us whatever you have and we'll take it from there.
